At the C5+1 Summit in September, President Biden affirmed that the United States would continue to support investment in and development of the Trans-Caspian Corridor through the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI).  To further advance that effort, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Russia and Central Asia Nicholas Berliner will lead an interagency delegation with representatives from the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Commerce, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to the Global Gateway Investors Forum for EU-Central Asia Transport Connectivity in Brussels from January 29-30.  The Investors Forum will convene key stakeholders, including high-level representatives from Central Asian countries, EU Member States, partner countries, and international and bilateral financial institutions, to coordinate investments for and implementation of specific projects along the Trans-Caspian Corridor based on a study conducted by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
